Our clients' satisfaction is our principle goal. We pride ourselves on delivering on our commitments to our clients and in taking every opportunity to reach beyond their expectations. Client and stakeholder referrals are of significant importance to us, as who is better able to speak to what we can "really" do for our clients than those clients themselves.
Testimonials, provided by our clients, resulting from diverse activities, are provided, as evidence of some of the many success stories associated with Advantage Fleet Services Inc.
Roy Aspinol – VSA Highway Maintenance
- 40 years commercial vehicle driving experience
- Past Commercial Vehicle Driving Instructor
- Past Defensive Driving Instructor
At the end of the Bronze portion of our Commercial Vehicle Defensive Driving course (DDC), Roy came up to us and said "You spoiled my plan for today." We asked "How is that?" He went on to say that he thought that he would be able to sit at the back of the class and perhaps even have a nap because he had been over this topic on many occasions.
“There was just too much good information which I hadn't heard before, such as how an automatic slack adjuster ratchets up, for that (falling asleep) to happen. I liked the way that the material was presented involving the whole group in the learning process. Your focus on complacency as a major contributor to incidents is right on the mark. At the end of the day, I felt recharged by the DDC Bronze.”
“We called asking for assistance in responding to a National Safety Code interview. After reviewing our profile, the Advantage Associate asked about details of a property damage crash for which we were assigned NSC points. Inquiries were made with the driver involved, as there were a number of gaps in the information on file. The driver told Advantage that he had thought that the circumstances surrounding the incident were very straight forward and that the liability rested with the driver of the car that was involved. He was very surprised to learn that ICBC had assessed him 100% of the liability. Our Advantage Representative was not satisfied and dug further.
“Although the driver had not acquired the name of a witness at the time of the incident, he felt that a shop owner in the area where the crash had occurred may have witnessed the event. Advantage suggested that our driver make inquiries with the shop owner, who, it turned out, had indeed been a witness. The name of the witness was forwarded to the ICBC adjuster by our Advantage Representative, and based on the information acquired from the independent witness, ICBC reversed the finding to 100% on the part of the car driver.
“We were reimbursed our deductible and our loss record and NSC profile was wiped clean of this incident. In the end, we were able to pay for Advantage's services tied to this project, and had funds left over to go back to our bottom-line.”
Small Trucking Firm in the Log Hauling Business
“A CVSE Inspector suggested that we contact Advantage Fleet Services to get some help, as we were being recommended for a show cause hearing to have our NSC certificate revoked. Our compliance record had deteriorated, with a score of 8.14 versus the provincial median of 1.03 for firms of a similar size.
“Key people in our operation met with Advantage. Together we developed the appropriate safety and maintenance plans. As part of the implementation plan, our Advantage Representative made a presentation to our drivers on the importance of NSC compliance and a driver's role in that process. On the urging of our Representative, we met with the CVSE Inspector and were allowed one further opportunity to prove our worthiness to keep our NSC certificate and to demonstrate that we could turn things around with our new plans in place.
“Since the training session for the drivers on November 11, 2003, we have only had on single entry go against our profile that carried NSC points, a violation which came about one month after the session carrying only 1 point. Our last profile, received September 2004, showed an overall profile score of 1.5. We have not had any incidents that could impact our profile since September 2004, meaning that our score will have now dipped below the provincial median. Advantage saved our business!”
