Grant Aune – President & Chief Executive Officer
Grant Aune

Grant was a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer for over 24 years, specializing as a Commercial Vehicle Collision Reconstructionist. He wrote an authoritative manual for Collision Reconstruction courses and has instructed locally, nationally and internationally in a wide variety of traffic related fields. He has testified as an expert witness in court cases which have escalated to the Supreme Court of Canada. He worked with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia in their Commercial Vehicle Loss Prevention Division. Grant developed our acclaimed "Standard of Care" program which has been delivered across Canada. Using his background and experiences working in the Commercial Transportation Industry in both the public and private sectors, Grant is able to provide our clients with the knowledge to get the job done safely and efficiently. Grant is a certified Air Brakes Instructor, has a BC Class 1 Driver's Licence and is an ICBC-approved service provider of the MISSION POSSIBLE @ Work program.

Leith Skinner – Associate

Leith Skinner

With the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Leith spent 15 years as a Collision Analyst and Senior Collision Reconstructionist for the Province of BC. He was part of a team that developed the first Collision Reconstruction Course at the Canadian Police College. Leith joined Advantage Fleet Services Inc. after five years as the Director of Safety and Training, with Coast Mountain Bus Company, formerly BC Transit in the Greater Vancouver area. Leith brings to our firm his expertise in incident investigation and analysis, as well as his extensive knowledge of WorkSafe BC related issues. Leith is an ICBC-approved service provider of the MISSION POSSIBLE @ Work program.

Dave Sutherland – Associate

Dave Sutherland

Dave comes to us after 29 ½ years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police; with over 25 years in Traffic Service. Dave is a Traffic Analyst with extensive experience in Commercial Vehicle incident analysis, in both rural and municipal areas. Dave also has experience in border crossing enforcement and was a certified instructor in the R.C.M. Police Pipeline/Convoy training and the Trucks and Terrorism courses. Dave is an ICBC-approved service provider of the MISSION POSSIBLE @ Work program. Dave joined Advantage as an Associate in 2003 and serves our Vancouver Island clients.

Ted A. Huene – Associate

Ted A. Huene

Ted joined us in 2003 with more than 50 years of experience in the commercial transportation industry as a Professional Driver, Provincial Government Driver Examiner, Company Owner, Operations Manager and as of late, Director of Claims and Risk Management for a major Canada/USA transportation company. His extensive background in commercial motor vehicle incident investigation includes both motor vehicle and cargo claims and subrogation. Ted has dealt extensively with third party insurance adjusters and underwriters. His operations expertise throughout the transportation industry makes him a very valuable member of our team.

Jason Seeley – Associate

Jason Seeley

Jason joined Advantage Fleet Services in 2004 as our Northern Alberta Associate. Jason has over 15 years of experience in the commercial transport industry as a professional driver. In 2005, Jason acquired his certificates in courses regarding Commercial Vehicle Collision Reconstruction and On Scene Collision Investigator Level II. His hands-on operations background, coupled with his degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta, and membership in the Insurance Institute of Canada, make him a valuable part of our team and an excellent resource for our Alberta-based clients.

Hugh Stirling – Associate

Hugh Stirling

Hugh is in his 26th year with the Calgary Police Service. He has been in the Traffic Section for the past 12 years and is a Collision Reconstructioinist. He is currently the Sergeant in charge of collision investigations, hit and run investigations, training and courses for the Traffic Section. He attends most of the serious injury and fatal collisions. Hugh has been qualified as an expert witness in the Courts of Alberta and has lectured locally and provincially. He also developed part of the Province's Grade 10 "math in a crate" with Science Alberta. Hugh brings with him a varied instructional background as well as organizational skills as a course facilitator. Hugh joined Advantage Fleet Services as an Associate in 2005 and is working with our clients in Southern Alberta.

Dave Gooch – Associate

Dave Gooch

Dave brings a much valued background, after having worked for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for 26 years. Dave has experience in Traffic Services in the BC Lower Mainland as well as on the Prairies, including air brake inspection, compliance and involvement in Road Safety Vision 2010. Dave also has supervisory experience in the areas of risk management, quality control, human relations and is well versed with the Canada Labour Code and its "Managing Safely" component. In 2005, Dave earned his certification in Commercial Vehicle Reconstruction and is also a licensed Class 1 driver.

Graham McCulloch – Associate

Graham McCulloch

Graham joined Advantage Fleet Services in 2006 bringing with him more than 35 years of experience in the Commercial Transportation Industry. The last 18 years was spent as a Driver Trainer and Driver Examiner and for 8 of those years, he was the Manager of Commercial Vehicle Programs at the Pacific Traffic Education Centre (PTEC). Graham holds numerous certificates for collision investigation. Graham is an ICBC-approved service provider of the MISSION POSSIBLE @ Work program. With his experience in developing training programs and his vast knowledge of air brakes, Graham looks forward to servicing the needs of our BC Lower Mainland clients.

Terry Betts – Associate

Terry Betts

Terry brings a diverse resume of experience after a decorated 25 year career in the RCMP. Terry has a strong concept of teamwork with skills derived from Motor Vehicle Incident Investigation, Traffic Law Enforcement, and Forensic Financial Investigation. Terry has an excellent understanding of business, based on 15 years of criminal investigation involving business and financial institutions. Terry has post-secondary education in Business Law, Insurance, and Accounting. He enjoys mentoring and has been a speaker to law enforcement agencies in Canada and the United States. Terry looks forward to sharing his experiences and working with clients to develop or enhance their safety programs and employee skills.

Shane Parker – Associate

Shane Parker

Shane joined Advantage Fleet Services in 2007 and brings with him a host of skills and abilities. Currently in his 28th year of police service, Shane is the Senior Collision Reconstructionist for the Delta Police. Presented with the 2003 BC Award of Excellence for Collision Investigation, Shane has been qualified as an expert in the Supreme Courts of BC and enjoys sharing his experiences with community groups and high school students on topics ranging from commercial vehicle safety and impaired driving, to personal and professional responsibility while driving motor vehicles. Shane is an ICBC approved facilitator of the MISSION POSSIBLE @ Work program and he looks forward to providing a wide range of services to our clients.

John Simmons – Associate

John Simmons

John retired from School District #23 in Kelowna after 18 years working as a dedicated school bus driver and 7 years as the transportation coordinator. John's extensive background as a professional driver provided him with the solid knowledge to supervise both personnel and the day to day operations of a large fleet. His forward thinking regarding the use of computerized programs and enhanced training advanced the efficiency of the fleet. He served as a valued member of the Health & Safety Committee and the Association of School Transportation Supervisors of BC. John's tenure as a school bus driver was collision free and his passion for safety has gained him the respect of those with whom he has worked. He is certified in Commercial Vehicle Collision Investigation and is an ICBC –approved service provider of the Mission Possible @ Work program.
